LENEXA, Kan.- July 26, 2021 ––The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), representing more than 700 broadband and cable operators serving all 50 states today announced the appointment of new board members Chris King from the Armstrong Group and Heather McCallion from Atlantic Broadband, both of which will be serving a three-year term. In addition, NCTC would like to thank Tom Whitaker from Shentel for serving on the board from July 2018 – June 2021 and Chris Hilliard from USA Communications for serving on the board from June 2011- July 2021.
Chris King, CFO, Armstrong Group
Chris is the Chief Financial Officer of the Armstrong Group, a privately held company with seven operating business units in the cable, internet, telephone, security, circuit-board manufacturing, real estate development and HVAC/plumbing industries. Prior to joining the Armstrong Group in 2001, Chris was the Chief Financial Officer of SpaceWorks, a business-to-business eCommerce software company, the Chief Financial Officer of FaciliCom, an international telecommunications company and held various roles in finance and business development at Bell Atlantic, all located in the Washington, DC area.
Chris received his B.A. in Accounting in 1983 from Washington & Jefferson College and in 1987, he received his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business with a concentration in finance.
Heather McCallion, Atlantic Broadband
As Vice President, Products and Programming, Heather oversees the product portfolio for all Atlantic Broadband’s business and consumer markets, including product development, implementation and product pricing and optimization. Products managed include Broadband, Wi-Fi, Video and Phone. As part of the video portfolio management, Heather handles all video content strategy & acquisition for all platforms including traditional and emerging content providers.
Prior to joining the Atlantic Broadband team, Heather worked as Vice President, Content Distribution for NBCUniversal, overseeing all Field Sales & Marketing endeavors for the newly formed company. In that role, she was responsible for all deal implementation, compliance, and incremental growth for the NBCU portfolio of 20 brands, including retransmission consent for owned stations. She has held other positions within NBCU, STARZ and Disney. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Roanoke College in Salem, VA.
