LENEXA, Kan.- September 9, 2021 ––The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC), representing more than 700 broadband and cable operators serving all 50 states, announced a reorganization of its senior leadership team. Lisa Hood has been named Chief Operating Officer while maintaining her current role as Chief Financial Officer. Jared Baumann will assume a new role as Vice President of Technology Innovation, leading the technology roadmap for NCTC. Rob Smith will lead an expanded group purchasing and procurement department as Vice President, Group Purchasing. Steve Beardslee will lead the broadband and video solutions team as Vice President, Broadband and Video Services. These appointments are effective immediately.

Lisa Hood, COO/CFO, NCTC
Lisa joined NCTC in 2019 and has over 25 years of experience in the broadband/telecom/cable industries, Lisa spent that time with FairPoint Communications now Consolidated. She has extensive financial and operational experience that enables her to drive revenue growth and stability, manage costs and implement efficient systems and controls. Lisa has a proven record of managing and controlling a broad range of financial and operational activities. Areas of expertise include accounting and finance, treasury, budget and financial planning, operational management, risk management and investor relations. Lisa has a BS in Accounting from Fort Hay State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jared Baumann, Vice President, Technology Innovation
Jared has been with NCTC since January 2019 with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunication technology industry, most recently with C Spire. Jared has led strategies for NCTC such as broadband transport aggregation, home wi-fi solutions, community Wi-fi, commercial services partners, wireless back haul and 5G opportunities, smart caching, local networks capacity and QoS management. Jared has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Petroleum Land Management from the University of Mississippi.
Rob Smith – Vice President, Group Purchasing
Rob has been with NCTC since July 2019 with more than 20 years of experience, most recently with Lumen Technologies where he led sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations. He drives value through product competition, negotiations, management of supplier performance and risk mitigation. Rob has a BA in Psychology from The University of Kansas and a JD, Law from Washburn University School of Law.
Steve Beardslee – Vice President, Broadband and Video Services
Steve has been with NCTC since July 2018 and is an experienced executive adept at formulating business strategies, forging strategic partnerships and leading teams to develop new products and services that drive sales to increase revenue and profitability in highly competitive technology markets. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunication industry, spending most of his tenure with Lumen Technologies and has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
