Ansley Erdel is an Executive Vice President at the Alpine Group and focuses her practice on telecommunications and technology issues. She represents a variety of clients including trade associations, telecommunications service providers, wireless telephone carriers, computer manufacturers as well as Fortune 500 companies and industry coalitions. Ansley is deeply engaged in spectrum policy, having played a large part in ensuring the passage of voluntary incentive auctions of broadcaster spectrum and continuing to seek ways to address the spectrum crunch to meet the growing demands of mobile broadband. She has spent a significant amount of time on carriage issues, from retransmission consent in the cable industry to performance rights for the music industry. Ansley has advocated for interoperability for wireless carriers, and has been engaged on efforts to reform the Universal Service Fund. She has worked to advance “Main Street Fairness” whereby internet retailers would collect sales tax as is required for brick and mortar retailers. Prior to joining Alpine, Ansley worked for former Congressman Nathan Deal who went on to serve as the Governor of Georgia.
